Agency commission

After having successfully placed a model to a costumer, a model agency gets a commission. This commission is the basis of a contract for an agency. Commissions of more than 18 % are illegal in Germany since the Broker Compensation Regulation establishes an appropriate limit in § 2 para 2. Many modeling agencies expand the commission through an administrative commission to exceed the maximum legal limit. Usually agency commissions lie between 20 % and 30% at the German model market. In Europe, these fees are often much higher. Due to different booking purposes the model fees may be small, many model and casting agencies establish a minimum fee. Casting

A "Casting " is the name for the first audition of a model or an actor at a producer or other client. It can also be understood as a process of role selection. A casting is not about the application in terms of image, sound or text, but the physical presentation of potential candidates. The casting / singing / dancing / modeling is also called audition. The pre-selection is done by respective directors and producers. Close up

Classic

The category classic describes models with the traditional body dimensions. This includes women from 174 cm height and men from 183 cm height. Figure

There are different ideas about the ideal figure of a model. The scope of functions of a model largely determines the desired figure of a model. Basically, the industry requires different types of models. The term came technically from the past where photos were taken with a Polaroid camera. Polaroids are an important part of the model profile, especially in the times of an extreme image processing.

Post-production

This takes place in the field of photography. Post-production is present in any professional work and means to improve the images taken of a model.
