SHOWCAST was founded in 2005 as an online community by the current managing director as an English limited company. The business model at that time was a business network, which was to be financed through micro payments (payment for action) and advertising cooperations. Based on direct booking requests from models, the current service developed through professionalization. In 2009 SHOWCAST had almost 4.000 registered members. SHOWCAST is one of the largest model files in Germany and one of the first model agencies in the world that was able to map the services of a model agency via web processes.
